I have sent an Email to Ebay about the hijacked account and I am contacting any winning bidders from his current auctions not to send money to a person named Celso Ferreira. I have also filed an IC3 complaint and one with the US Postal service. I will do whatever it takes to stop this guy.

I know there is no way I'm getting my money back, but if I can prevent others from getting scammed by this guy, I would feel worse doing nothing.

Yes, Michael got scammed by that guy.
The address that I sent my payment to was a Mailboxes ETC or UPS Store.
I was given a red flag at the conclusion of the auction and totally missed it.
Oh well, in 9 years of eBay'n it was bound to happen.
I think eBay only refunded me like $24 or something like that.

Just had dialog with this idiot check it out. I tryed subtly to get to admit he was a fraud (Im still reporting this guy just wanted to see if he would bite):

Hello,

So here's the deal. I have ample reasons to beleive that you are a fraud eBayer and proof to back it up! I dont know if this is a hijacked account or you have purposely bought several items to boost your feedback rating. So we can do one of two things. (1) We can part ways right now and NOT leave each other feedback or (2) You can leave negative feedback and I will do everything in my power to make sure that you are caught and this doesn't happen to anybody else. And remember I HAVE PROOF! So simply reply to this message either with "Part Ways" or "leave me negative feedback". Choose wisely!

Good Day

You can check this guys account he has bought anything over 5 bucks on ebay!! So here's his response:

Sir,

I know that you don't have any proof because I am an honest seller. In any case, I don't want trouble and I would never force anybody to buy something when they are not confortable. You didn't have to come up with this crazy story to not finish the purchase. I won't give you bad feedback and I would even be willing to give you positive feedback if you did the same.

Regards,

Ha yeah right I'm not giving this guy feedback so he can sam someone else. He really has some nerve!!!

I filed a fraud report to eBay days ago, and still haven't heard back from them. WTF?! This guy is scamming more people as we speak!

Hey, MustangDre -

You should tell him: "cool, when I see positive feedback for me I'll leave you feedback."

Then, after he leaves you positive feedback, you could e-mail him: "Hey, a buddy of mine is interested in buying a Snap On torque wrench... do you have anything like that?"

EDIT: NEVERMIND, don't tip him off that we are on to him. I want to get the police involved. PM me and I'll send you my phone #.

Thomas:

I get the feeling he is hijacking these accounts. Look at the variety of items offered--especially this last batch of textbooks. I think he somehow obtains the account information and changes the contact Email address. I doubt he actually has any of these items.

Hi guys, I found those posting only AFTER I was scammed by the same guy. Here is the link for the item purchased (Sandisk Cruzer)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEFS:IT&ih=020

By me he went under a different username "buildingc99" but the scam is the same. Bump up the feedback by buying some small crappy items then sell a ton of stuff and run away with the cash. First time i've been scammed on ebay, so I don't know if Ebay will refund me some of the money. Lesson learned only to bid on items via Paypal or CC! Thankfully I only lost a small amount to this dipsh*t - compared to what others have and are about to loose!

I see he know goes under a new name "spaceavent" and sadly he just sold over 40 college books to other unsuspected poor souls. Someone better stop him quick, lock him up and throw away the key!!

BTW ... here is the address and name I sent the payment to.

Thank you for your purchase. I appreciate your business. I accept money order and cashiers checks as form of payment. I do not accept paypal. I will ship your item as soon as I get your payment. My address for payment is: Celso Ferreira, 3876 SW 112 Ave #322, Miami, FL 33165. If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks for bringing this up .. it's good to know I'm not the only person out there who has cheated on by this a-hole. Maybe we can set up a sting (fake buyer, trace on the postal order, etc ...)

What is really sad....is how easy it would be to catch him and eBay continues to let him scam.

Well, unless some other victim posts his new username, it will be difficult to track him. I bet he's still selling--probably under multiple names.

why doesn't someone in Miami bid on sumthin', and instead of shipping it (since ur all in the same city) just arrange a lil meeting...maybe by the docks, or the warehouse. where you will have waiting a couple cadilacs, and a few italian guys w/accents and black trenchcoats. lol

Just came across these posts as I was doing a search for "celso ferreira". Just came to the conclusion that I too was scammed for $70 trying to buy a textbook.

I mailed out out the M.O. to 3876 SW 112 Avenue #322, Miami, 33165.

Should have mentioned that he used yet another username.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN:IT&ih=005

When I made the purchase he had 100% feedback, a week later he changed it to "private" but is now down to 68% as other people get scammed and leave negative feedback.

I'm guessing he buys a few items and then posts 10 auctions or so at once under an ID so that all the negative feedbacks hit at once...after he's got the money orders.

Sorry to hear from another person who was scammed. Be sure to report to as many agencies as you can. The more people that report; the better chance that one of them will actually do something about him.

both his user names have like 15 negative feedbacks. 3876 SW 112 Ave #322 is a UPS store with e UPS type P.O. Box. If you guys contact the store you can probably figure out info on the guy. Im sure you need an ID or something to rent it out.

Venom, you know where the home depot is at on bird and 107th. its in that shopping center.

Anyone live nearby? I think I got scammed out of $97.50 off eBay and may need someone to swing by and pick it up for me. http://www.mcmmotorsports.com/smilies/nono.gif
After being an eBay member for almost 10 years, this is a first for me. I went against my better judgement and did not choose to practice what I preech.

Just filed my complaint with the US Postal Inspector.

So be careful with ol' Celso.

By the way, I sent the money order to: 3876 SW 112 Ave #322, Miami Fl, 33165... I'll bet it is an abandoned address.

If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is!

Thomas

Yup, the address MCM sent the check too was a UPS store that has P.O. Boxes inside.

The other address is also a Postal store with P.O. Boxes.

If he lives in hialeah thats explains it.

Hialeah is a really poor crummy area of miami, mostly unemployed lower class, this is something the "thugs" of that area would do for money.

Default I am another one scammed

I wish I found this site before I purchased one of my school books from this scammer.

Item:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...0%3D%26fvi%3D1

User name spaceavent

Let me know what I need to do to help get this person caught.

I filed the dispute with ebay, but it appears to be nothing much of any help.
