Ever heard of Pm's?

 

I think this is a good idea, get him to start telling stories to entertain us.. than maybe more ppl will join and then more ppl will start thinking about how bad it is to race on the street, and maybe we can make a couple ppl here safer drivers and bring it to the TRACK

 

fo sho. there was a couple ppl street racing around here, one ended up wrecking and killing a construction worker working on the side of the road. i believe both racers got prison time. not county jail, prison.

 

just noticed this thread....okay....yes i am a streetracer...i meet up with a lil posse of cars and we go to the spot where all the other fast cars gather and set races.....that doesnt mean that i primarily race up and down residential blocks....i did that once against a girl in a ferrari but that was only because a chance to beat a ferrari doesnt come around too much and i knew i could beat a girl...anyway...most if not all of my wild races take place in factory districts late at night where the only cars on the street are other racers...so that image that you have in your head of me tearin passed a minivan and causing the death of a soccer mom is about as likely as anyone else doin that...unless the soccer mom is out at 3am cruisin the abandoned factory area...that said...there are no tracks in nyc...and we dont drive all the way to englishtown nj whenever we get an itch...theres an army base near with an abandoned airfield but i'm the only one in my click that can get on base to use it....closest thing we had to a public track was this place called fountain avenue in brooklyn that was totally desolate but for some reason the cops shut that down and put up barricades...that was an awesome place to gather and it truly was just like that scene from the fast and furious....but silly neighborhood people shut it down because they didnt like the sound of engines a mile away....all they did was push most of us to the streets...anyway i just wanted to clarify myself a bit

now about your question:

i have had a few close calls...thats because i routinely get up to 140 in a good run...closest call i had was against a charger ... and that was because he lost control and swerved all over...that made me go home and pull the covers up...but only for a week or so...honestly the only 3 fender benders i've been in involved 2 seperate chinese guys and an elderly woman and they all hit me from the back at a redlight...so maybe somethin should be done about chinese guys and old people drivin...as far as ny goes...there are almost no streetracin fatalities...i can only think of 2 off hand and neither one was actually caused by a streetracer....one was when a guy poured oil all over the street cause he didnt like them racin and when the cars hit the oil they spun out and killed both drivers...and the other involved a q35 "racin" a gto when the gto spun out and the driver died....although it was later found that the gto guy had a gun and he and his passenger where chasin the q35 to carjack him...there are many more deaths by drunk drivers, gun play, regular speeding vehicles and second hand smoke...hell you can get cancer from eatin a girl these days so streetracin doesnt really rank high on my "dont do it" list

 

ah man, what a let down....I was expecting some good stories. Make some **** up at least. ha ha ha ha. I would assume it's like every other populated area that has too much traffic to even get going fast enough to race.

 

well...i like relatin a good streetracin story....i will always tell one...but as far as DETAILING my close calls...i will always take the fifth on that...jt i'm not gonna send myself to jail, ya know...sure there have been some bad times....but i was never there for those if you know what i mean

 

yes because everyone with a souped up car drives safe on the road..

 

ohh of course they all do... actually its mainly the people around my town the the crappy cars street racing, but i guess thats because all the souped up cars go too a private road to race at. the cops can't touch em unless the owner says they can.. and the spouped up cars in my area don't show themselves on the road except at night!!
