Default What to do?

On July 3rd I won an American Racing Headers exhaust package. Include 1 5/8 stainless steel longtube headers and a catted x pipe. I was planning on building my rearend next month. I already have the master bearing kit, gears, 03 cobra diff, MM lower control arms. I was planning on purchasing the axles and girdle next week. I don't think i will have the money to have both the exhaust with a tune, and the rearend done. So my option is to do one, and save the other for next summer. The exhaust is a $1400 value and it will cost me $450 to get it installed and another $450 to have the car dyno tuned. The axles and girdle will cost me around $500, and getting the entire rearend set up, axle tubes welded, and torque boxes welded will cost me $750. What do I do? This is my daily driver.

You dont need the car dyno-tuned. just have it installed and you can have both.

450 for header install is really cheap and you dont have to get a tune.

If can't do both, at least get the torque boxes welded and the control arms installed w/ the headers. Unless you're pushing a ton of power or a ton of abuse from hard launches, the stock rear will be fine for the time being.

I'm definitely gonna have it dyno tuned to get the most out of the mods that I have. I also don't want to risk anything. I drive the car all year round even when there is 6" of snow on the ground, so I have to make sure that it will be able to handle anything that is thrown at it. This is the last hp/tq mod that will be going on the car for at least 3 years, unless I win a supercharger next year. lol The next thing will be the rearend, which I'll probably get done during spring break, then the following year i will do the suspension, and then after that possibly some 18" rims.

2 different shops are doing the rearend and the exhaust. The one doing my exhaust is more GM oriented but they see plenty of mustangs as well since they started working on them back in 2001, but they have never done axle tubes or torque boxes. The shop that will be doing the rearend is a one man operation and highly recommended by many mustang owners around the city. He has done axle tubes and torque boxes before.
