If your into sports games and first person shooters, then Xbox 360 is the way to go. Sports games are the same for every system and Xbox is known for the first person shooters. Plus it's cheaper.

That's it, I'm getting an xbox 360! So is there REALLY any difference between the Elite and Premium version other than the larger hard drive....I don't really care about having a large hard drive cause I'm only going to use it for gaming.

Cooling ducts and fans are the same. The elite isnt using the 65nm chip, therefore it runs just as hot as the other 360's do.

All the Elite has is an HDMI port, Black casing, and a 120GB HDD.

 

very true, if you wait a little longer they will be using the new chip. other than that, the Elite is black and has a bigger hard drive. HDMI is there as well, but if you don't have a 1080p t.v., then it's not really an issue.

 

You wouldn't happen to know how long before they are using a new chip? All this xbox 360 talk is driving me crazy and I must have one! ha ha. I have a $215 gift card to Sears so I was going to use that to pay for half of it.

I have a 1080i tv right now and I've heard you really can't tell the difference between 1080i and 1080p....but who knows.

So if I get the premium version it's not going to be outdated next month is it?

 

No you will be fine. Unless you are an audio/visual geek and are obsessed with that stuff, you won't see a difference. Not sure when the new chip will come out, but I don't know how much of a difference it will make. You should just go buy yourself a new system and get it over with. Get the warranty cause it's a good thing to have, but the newer systems have most of the bugs worked out of them.

Good stuff. Definitely get Forza 2 though. It kicks *** and is very addicting. Now only if the fiance would go away so I can play it more.

 

Yeah it sucks at times. Gotta wait until she goes to bed to actually have a chance to play. Good thing she's in Palm Springs this weekend. I can actually catch up on a few a movies and play some games.
