I was proud of Jeff, he didn't do much, but he did pick up 32 spots.. Good day in my book.
I was actually pretty happy with the race overall, Stewart, Kurt B., Dale Jr., Kenseth, Kahne all wrecked.. That's about as good as it gets IMHO!
Suprise of the Race: David Gilliland. He actually didn't wreck anyone!!!! That's a first in his Nextel Cup Career!!!
GO JEFF!! KEEP THE DRIVE FOR FIVE ALIVE!!!
Notice the emblem on the left?

I really don't care.. Stewart is a chubby little loser.. That crap that he pulled in the shootout was complete BS. If it had been reversed NASCAR would have black flagged Kyle and sent him to the back of the pack.. I guess Stewart is the new 'golden boy' of NASCAR.

Gordon was, now its his gay lover Jimmy Johnson.

The thing I find funny about stewart is one day he will preach about everyone driving too aggresive and then he goes out 20 laps into the 500 and is racing kurt busch like its the last lap. Kurt did the right thing by not lifting when stewart got loose but he needs to make sure he dont take himself out next time

so true! except for Busch not taking himself out.

Martin deserved the race more. as soon as Kenseth cut in front of the pack they should have thrown the caution. Nascar said the reason they didnt throw the yellow was because the cars that were wrecking were going down onto the apron and not on the track so they didnt throw the yellow until Boris flipped. He one hell of a lucky guy that his car landed on all fours and not upside down while its on fire.

He 'deserved' it? I don't know about you, but I wouldn't lift for Martin to win.. And on top of that Martin doesn't even care about Daytona, he has said many times that he hates Daytona and Talladega, so how does he deserve to win?.. NASCAR did the right thing letting those two race to the finish.
#22
That being said my parents where at that Talladega race last year where the JR fans where throwing beer bottles and they said it was kinda scary. But at some tracks thats par for the course. I have been to Talladega, Michigan, and Indy. The Talladega race I was at (2 yrs ago) was a good race to watch but the crowd there was so redneck it was ridiculous. There where people who were selling shirts that said "if I knew things would have turned out like this, I would have picked my own cotton." Thats just not my cup of tea.

As a long time Nascar fan I can say this about the current drivers, IMHO.
1 Kevin Harvick= one of the best oval track drivers ever. Good win.
2 Mark Martin= Sentimental favorite to win anything. He should have put Harvick into a slugfest for the win..
3 Tony Stewart= The new Dale Sr. He is outspoken and has the love him or hate him thing going on. (just like Dale Sr.) He would have won the 500 because he can out drive everyone else..
4 Kurt Busch= great driver but has the arrogance that nobody wants to hear. People want him to wreck.
5 Kyle Busch= same as big bro only worse, plus he cant drive as good. LOL
6 Dale Jr. = Fan Favorite for sure, Maybe he should lay off the buds on weekends..
7 Jeff Gordon= Top 3 driver on any sunday, but he aint hittin on **** lately. Gay? I dont think so. Just not manly enough.
8 Jimmy Johnson= Looking at another championship at least before he quits. Great driver plus, he's getting the fan base. ( I hate him BTW).
9 Greg Biffle= He will probably win a championship soon.
10 all the others, Dale Jarret= washed up, Michael Waltrip= washed up,
11 But lots of new guys coming up and speed is the name of the game. It's gonna get interesting from Bristol on out with the New car of tomorrow.. I'll be watching anyway. BTW this just my opinion.. flame on

1 Kevin Harvick= one of the best oval track drivers ever. Good win. I will agree with that.
2 Mark Martin= Sentimental favorite to win anything. He should have put Harvick into a slugfest for the win.. Agreed.
3 Tony Stewart = The new Dale Sr. (I don't think so!! Dale Sr. had more talent in his left thumb than Stewart does all around.) He is outspoken and has the love him or hate him thing going on. (just like Dale Sr.) He would have won the 500 because he can out drive everyone else..
4 Kurt Busch= great driver but has the arrogance that nobody wants to hear. People want him to wreck. (Arrogance is needed for a NASCAR driver, anyone who doesn't believe that is nuts..)
5 Kyle Busch= same as big bro only worse, plus he cant drive as good. LOL (He will surprise alot of people, I guarantee it.)
6 Dale Jr. = Fan Favorite for sure, Maybe he should lay off the buds on weekends.. (Fan favorite, yes. Good Driver, No. The kid ran 300+ late model races, know how many he won? 8.)
7 Jeff Gordon= Top 3 driver on any sunday, but he aint hittin on **** lately. Gay? I dont think so. Just not manly enough. (He must be doing something right to get Ingrid. He is the greatest driver of the modern era, period. His crew chief is a piece of crap, that is where the 'slump' is coming from.)
8 Jimmy Johnson= Looking at another championship at least before he quits. Great driver plus, he's getting the fan base. ( I hate him BTW). (Don't really like Jimmie much, but he is a good driver, with a great team.)
9 Greg Biffle= He will probably win a championship soon. ?....

Die hard Martin fan and was screaming at the TV. As mentioned earlier most other guys would have rubbed Harvick (IMO a candy *** cry baby w/a stuck up wife Delana) a little to get the advantage, but didn't. If Mark wouldn't have gotten loose in the corner we might have had a difft. outcome.
BTW: Is is me or does anyone else just wanna rail Kelly Clarkson after seeing her at the beginning. She's put on some weight and now has some "junk in the trun." I'd still hit it.

And also IMHO, Mark maybe could have pulled off the win if he would have leaned on Harvick a little more. But Mark doesn't race like that. Which is 1 reason he has neither a Championship, or a Daytona trophy. Come on guys Rubbin IS Racing, Dam the rough driving penalties. Lets put some Zing back into this sport. Clean racing is ok but makes for boring Nascar race. Russ Wheeler would have "put him the wall" LOL
