Sad day.
Well, I was sound asleep when I got the call at about 4:00am that my Grandfather had passed away.
He had prior heart problems, and apparently had some chest pain for the last couple of days and for some reason didn't go to the doctor. We have no idea why. So, ill be heading to Pensacola later today.
We are still not sure exactly what happened, but we assume that he passed in his sleep.
Im really not sure how to react, this is the first time that one of my family members has passed away, im just kind of shocked.. It makes me think of alot of 'what if's.'
So, I will be gone until atleast Sunday Night. God Bless everyone, and be safe.

I could think of some comic relief if you are coming to Pensacola (the one me and elmo live in), but I don't think it's appropriate right now and I'd feel like an ***

Dont play the what-if game, its no good, but the GREAT memories you have ARE. You'll be together again at some point, so until then, just think of the times you shared, and you are NEVER without them.
Sorry to hear it, my grandfather passed away about 3 years ago, and I still get teary eyed every once in a while over it.

Thanks everyone. It's been a hard week, I just got back into town.
My Grandfather was many things to many people, he was a pastor, a father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, among many other things. He went on tens of dozens of mission trips over his lifetime, and visited well over 30 different countries, along with trips to pray for people he didn't even know who were ill in the hospital.
He will always be remembered as a Great person, a man among men, and his legacy will continue forever with his four children, their significant others, his 13 grandchildren, and so many more..
We celebrated for him, at his funeral because we knew he had gone on to a much better place, a place that we can't even imagine and a place that he very well deserved. He always said, "Son when I die, don't cry for me celebrate for me because I am going to finally be one with God."
God Bless you Grandpa, you most certainly will be missed, but never forgotten!
