removing factory vinyl stripes, HELP
Well I just got my replacement fender and it's in great shape and is the right color. It has the factory vinyl stripe on the bottom but I need to know how to remove it? Does it simply peel off or is there a special way?

Turn it on and heat up the corner of one of the stripes. Use a razorblade to lift up just enough of the stripe wher eyou can grab the corner.
Then slowly pull the striping off, using the hairdryer on the area as it is coming loose.
if you do it right, there will be no residue.
Keep the hairdryer about 5-6 inches away from the car too.
Take your time, dont rush it. The stripe will come off at its own pace. just feel for it

It wont take you long, once you get the stripe started it moves pretty quickly. I got hood, trunk, and rocker stripes all removed in about 45min.
