Blackout Vinyl Help
Okay, so I'm about to purchase the blackout vinyl sticker from rockymountinggraphics.com and I have a few questions:
First of all, black or flat black? I have a silver mustang with black rocker stripes, black rims and mustang bumper inserts, but I'm not too sure that the glossy black will look nice.
How hard is it to install? I read somewheres that they were a pain in the *** to install because of air bubbles and the vinyl being so thin. Also, I've never installed any vinyl before but I'd like to do this one myself.
I'd, also going to purchase the rear valence decal as well.

They come in pieces so its not too bad. If your getting tail light ones they are HARD. Takes a heat gun to get them to fold and look right.
I took mine to a local sticker shop and it took them around 30mins to an hour to get it on good without air bubbles. If you get some tiny ones the sun will burn em out.
Its been almost 3 years ago since they did mine, and i think he sprayed my car n got it wet, layed the vinyl on it moved it about to a good position, then used a scrapper, u could use a credit card or something, and he brought most of the water out to the side, then heat gunned it down.

All you need is:
- A spray bottle with warm, slightly soapy water to wet the vinyl before you apply it.
- Either a credit card or some other flat thin piece of plastic to smooth out the bubbles.
- I highly recommend having a blow dryer or a heat gun of some kind, you will need it to shrink the vinyl in some places, and to help remove bubbles.
- And a very sharp, skinny exacto knife to trim edges/corners.
- Patience.
Yeah but the only other shiny black accent on his car is his rims. I have glossy black rims, glossy black rocker stripes and the bumper inserts. I'm just not too sure that I'm going to like having that big of a spot on my car be so shiny. Post some pics
