Vinyl Stripes

Vinyl Stripes
I'm going to get some of those vinyl stripes like slappy has. and I was wondering if someone one would post a link to a place that sells them.
Also I was wondering if someone that has installed them would post how they went about doing it. I know springstang bought some, and then messed up when he was trying to install them, and I don't want to do that.
So any help with this would be appreciated.

Yeah, they arent hard unless yer springsstang.
I got them from www.rallystripes.com
I got the 8inch with pinstripes, i wouldnt reccommend 10 inch if you havent done it before due to the curvature of the base of the grille. 8in were rought enough..
They have instructions on the website on hot to do it.
Basically, i took a piece of 1.25in wide painters tape and ran it dead center down my car, lip to butt.
Then i measured each part, Lower valance, bumper, front hood, hood scopp, rear hood, roof, trunk lid, keyhole part, licence plate section, top of bumper, borrom of bumper, then rear valance.
Cut each piece at LEAST 1 inch longer than it needs to be, then you can just trim any excess if needed.
make the solution they talk about (20oz water 1/4tsp soap, 1/2tsp of iso achohol)
Clean the are on the car with achohol, Spray the place the stripe is going, then spray the stripe as you peel it off.
Slide it in place and be patient. Dont apply too much pressure with the squeegie or you can damage the stripe.
Mainly, TAKE YOUR TIME. Dont plan on doing it all in 1 day, and even though when the stripe is finally on it feels lik it will peel right off, it WILL secure itself down and stick nicely.
I reccommend you start with the trunklid and the hood/hood scoop. do that one day and finish the rest another day.
All you reallly gotta do is align the stripe with the tape in the center of the car. squeeze as much water and air bubbles out as possible.
1 stripe kit is more than enough to do the stang, and have some leftover in case you mess a part up.
Good luck man. There is nothing you can do that will look cooler for 40 bucks.
oh yah, dont drive yer stang for at least 3-4 hours after you get the stripes on, better to let it sit overnight.

Thanx slappy, very helpfull. I'm getting my gears installed this week, and maybe next weekend I will do the stripes and post some pics.
You started on your interior yet, or did you decide not to do it.
