Default now what?

Yah... idk...

Monday I sat down and talked with the dean about my situation... welp...

Its turns out that he didnt completely fill me in on all the allegations... They caught me and my buds takin stools out of the pub/bar... He asked me about it and I told him yah... We took the stools... we weren;t gonna take em home... we were gonna use em to build a bar in my friends dorm room... lol... well then he says that they have camera evidence...

So I withdrew from the school... It will come up on my transcripts that I withdrew... and It will be on record ONLY at the deans office that I was suspended for alcohol abuse...

So now what?

How the heck should I know?

I think I'm gonna get a job with UPS...

Then come spring go to county college... get my associates (engineering).

Then I found this school... www.wyotech.com

I wasnt happy at NJIT... I met ALOT of alumni... they graduate high in their class and rarely are successful... one kid I know that graduated with several computer tech degrees is doing construction...

So... My parents are pissed... but I see this as an opportunity...

And I've been alcohol free for 2 weeks now

Sounds like your actions finally caught up. I hope you look on this experience and learn from your mistakes. Its still early in the semester so you didnt go through till the end and waste the time, but the money is gone. You can still redeem yourself so dont make any future situation worse.

I wish I could say, good for you, but I hope you realize that you jeapardized your future so you and your buddies could have a bar in your dorm room. Think about that for a second, its stupid ****. Make something of this opportunity, im glad your folks are pissed. Its a shame man.

well I really think about it... and I don't think I'd be happy after graduation... I have a feeling that I'd end up doing something else...

If I was to grad NJIT... I bet I'd be sitting behind a computer designing stuff... making buku bucks, being able to drive any car... and hating it...

I want to get my hands dirty and have fun... I don't give a rats *** about money... as long as I have enough for a mustang and life necesities... then yeehaw

Have you thought about civil engineering? I wanted to be a Mechanical first, then once I started working with a bunch of c.e's, my mind quickly changed. The money isnt as good, but I get to go outside, work on state parks, drive bulldozers, and play in the dirt.

Damn Greg, you gotta realize that you are not in HIgh School anymore. What you are doing in college WILL determine your future. Trust me, I am speaking from experience. My freshman year of college I joined a fraternity and had an easy 1 bottle of hard liquor a day habit. All I did was drink and party and do stupid **** to impress my friends. I ended up my first year of college dropping 2 classes and still having a 1.8GPA. That was the most embarrasing year of my life.

I had to realize that this was the rest of my life that I was ****ing up and had to get my **** together. WEll, the summer after my freshman year my girlfriend (now wife) got pregnant and that really really made me realize that I had a whole new future to plan for. I dropped out of the University and got a full time job and went to the local community college. I ended up graduating with a 3.87 GPA, but at the same time, if I wouldn't have ****ed around at my first school instead of having a Networking Degree now, I would have a Civil Engineering degree making 3x as much money as I am now. Now, I wouldn't trade my kids for anything in the world, but I would definatly feel better with a 6 figure salary to support them with right now!

Wake up, and focus on your future instead of stealing a damn bar chair to get a "dude, that was awesome!" from a couple of friends!

That's cause they should have went to a REAL college first. Anyway, I think your totally right about seeing this as an opportunity....go to Community College, get your Associates Degree and then transfer to a University and get a BS or BA Degree....then go to a two year technical school for specific training....I know it's a lot of school, but you'll be able to do A LOT more with a degree from a University. Cause what happens if you wake up one day and say F this, I don't want to bust my azz under a car all day, I want to do something else....well, then you have that University Degree to fall back on.
