What is defamation?
In the most general terms, defamation is the issuance of a false statement about another person, which causes that person to suffer harm. Defamation can come in either the form of libel (written defamation) or slander (oral defamation). To succeed in a case for defamation, you have to prove four elements: 1) a false or defamatory statement was made against you; 2) the statement was made to a third party (anyone other than you, either verbally or in written form); 3) if the defamation was of public concern, then the publisher of the defamation had to be negligent; and 4) you suffered damage, such as an injury to your reputation or, in some cases, mental anguish.
I also said at one point that "I was pissed at ________)
____ = bad words that I am ashamed of... another reason I stopped drinking...
the person was the dean of students...
and sop is confused at the definition of slander... if anything he could say libel... but they cant prove anything... cause it was not libel or defamation of any kind...

I thought the two things often confused were Deformation of Character and Slander, and slander is in print whilst the other is spoken...

The scary thing is that Congress passed the Patriot Act and if the FBI or any other lawn enforcement even THINKS you might commit a terrorist act they have the ability to swoop you up and charge you with something to do with terrorism (yes, shooting up a school can be considered terrorism)....they can check your freaking Library card to see what books you've checked out, they can get just about anything they want now....so don't do stupid things like that cause if the Government feels like it they can throw the book at you. Ever since 9/11 lawn enforcement doesn't play around even if you think it's a joke.

I've done far worse to much more panicky people. Don't trip.
The detectives can't do ****. Someone called the cops to be a fahg and the cops flipped off the deep end like modern suburban cops do.(They think a little much of their place in the world now that they think they're useful responders to any terrorist event. They're totally fooling themselves.) If you don't do anything patently illegal you can't be charged and excessive police interviews can be classed as harassment. Charges under the patriot act would require them to turn up weapons and ammo and some sort of situationally coordinated evidence like a bullet proof vest all stuffed in a duffel bag to show intent. If you can't show intent then you're not a terrorist.
You've done exactly 0 that's illegal. You may be diciplined at school but I HIGHLY doubt it will be anything but a minor black mark.

cops these days think they're going to have some effect on the outcome of any particular terrorist act. I say scoff, humbug, haha, yougoddabefugginkiddinme. Fact of the matter is that real terrorists are determined, well trained, WELL equipped and have nothing to lose. You come across a group of 4 guys that knows what they're doing and don't have a plan to deal with failing their mission and you've met men so dangerous that most cops will be lined up and murdered like sheep just as soon as they enter the crosshairs. There is very little in life that prepares you to do the typical urban-cop style home entry (watch COPS if you don't know what that looks like... they all do it the same way) and meet a 2 man m60 team behind a meter high wall of sandbags. The only thing the casual observer will see is a whole bunch of dead cops hitting the ground and then 3 blast fragmentation grenades flop out the front door to catch the stragglers.
Urban US police need to step back and realize they're little fish in a big pond and that they're 100% unequipped to deal with any terrorist they might meet. They need to nice up a bit and let people realize that we live in a dangerous world where danger is the same as freedom.

Simply leave the terrorists alone? Apologize for bothering them?
While they might not be nearly as competant as an Israli anti-terrorist group, they are still willing to be shot, stabbed, and blown to pieces to do anything they can to stop the terrorists.
Im sorry, but you know what will kill a terrorist? That gun on the cops side..
My friends father was the head of the SCAT force here in denver for years. He diddnt care about pot, or speeding, or any of that. The SCAT team dealt with kids who carry fully loaded Mac-10's and wouldnt think twice about unloading that into a cop. There are special police force teams like them in every major city.
Maybe yer average black and blue isnt really up to the task, but i think it is somewhat rediculous to go after the entire police force calling them inadequite or incapable of handling ANY terrorist threat.
At least they are willing to put thier lifes on the line and die in order to keep your sorry *** safe...

You should think twice before you commit to such stupidity and post it up on the net. We may have free speech but I would not excercise this on the net as you never know who is watching and may take it the wrong way. If you have learned your lesson then hopefully nothing will come out of it . This may not be what you want to hear right now but the world is alot smaller and we all need to excercise some civility towards each other. With all the recent events why would you fool around like that.

I will never lie and say i'm mr good 2 shoes... I can be loud and obnoxious... I never have never will care about what anyone thinks of me... I am myself and like my sig says...

but I never cross the line
I never break the law
and I would never hurt anyone
I talked to the cop and it went awesome... no legal troubles... he is rather convinced that we werent planning anything and that it was all joking... he will finish the investigation and i am 100% positive that that too will turn up nothing...
it also helped that he's country boy too... he was chewing skoal during our meeting... and he can understand where we come from.
so This is ok... but I am worried about what the school will do...

fact is they don't really give a hoot and they wouldn't waste their time.
And... the construction sight that I was at is owned by my boss (and family friend). So he would tell the cops i had permision to be there...
