hey guys, long time no see, so here's the news, my car, my 2001 black v6 mustang, was keyed in my driveway last night...i swear to god who ever did this will have a broken neck if i ever find them...now with that said is this something i should report to the police? dont have any pictures yet...so if i can get some, i'll post...

 

I would file a police report, but it really wont amount to much but at least you have it documented.

I hate bastards who do stuff like that. Sorry man, hopefully your deductible isnt too high or they didnt get down to the metal.

It is good to file a police report just in case they catch them in the act on someone elses car but some police stations would not encourage you file a report as that adds more crime to the area and makes their numbers look bad.

 

My camaro got its driver side window shot out 2 months after I got the car painted. Bad thing is, they missed the first three shots and hit my door and f-ed up the paint. 3 cars on my block got their windows shot out that night. People who do that sh*t should be gutted in front of their families.

BTW I had my kicker 12"s stolen out of my car in high school and still today I think about how much fun it would have been to catch the low-lifes bent over in the trunk with me with a Louisville in hand.

People who f with other peoples cars are useless wastes of flesh and don't deserve to be living. They hate what they don't have because they are too lazy and apathetic to get off their *** on monday morning and go to work and earn anything. I hope they all die of ghonnorhea and rot in hell.

I got a good laugh out of that but it is sad when inicent cars are tampered with for no reason had a friend that got his stang keyed very badly but he was caught on tape my the schools camera

 

Just as others have said, I would file a police report just in case. I don't know the extent of your damage, but it wouldn't hurt just in case they caught someone and you could potentionally get some reimbursement for damages or something. My senior year in high school, 3 years ago, my 98 cobra got keyed in my backyard. They scratched "F*** You" in my hood with swirls and then straight down both sides, basically all the way to the metal in all places. To top it off, they put bologna all over it as well. At this time, the car was 5 years old and was in showroom condition with only 3500 factory miles on it (We had just bought it from a guy who was selling it because a baby was on the way). The entire car had to be stripped and repainted. Like $4500. We were able to catch the guys, as it was actually a result of an incident that happened one day at school, so we did have some leads. Got the entire costs covered and the guy got like 18 months probation. I guess that was sufficient, but if it had been up to me, the guy would be in jail still now, having some nightly fun with Bubba. Messing with people's cars is not cool, under any circumstances. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Maybe something will work out for you.

 

thanks guys, the police report was filed today...im really happy to see the support one can get from u guys when they need it...anyhow, the cop that came was real nice, and he acctualled made me feel a bit better about the whole situation, he told me how his 67' fastback was keyed when he was in high school and how the cops nailed the lil bastard the next nite when he tried to do the same thing to some camaro down the street...so hopefully the lil puke that did this will be brought to justice...as far as my deductible goes, i have no clue, i let my dad take car of the insurance, i was not in the mood to deal with them today, so i think its going to end up costing me around 150-200 bucks outta my own pocket, that mit ento sound likle alot, but when ur a student headed for college in less than a year trying to save money, that is a crap load of cash...so far no leads as to who would do such a thing, but i almost hope the bastards do it again, not to me preferably but if my baby has to get a lil roughed up again to get the ball rolling, then well, she can take it, shes a tough girl, im sure she can deal...with that said, i hope to make a citizens arrest on the bastard...that would be sweet revenge.....i'll keep you all posted on wut happens...oh here are the pics...

I know how it is I had my rear Saleen wing broken. I think they were trying to steal the whole car as the wooden fence had screws missing from the board that has the lock. When they saw that it had an alarm they broke the wing and left. It so happens that on that day I did not sleep at my house.

 

People suck. A buddy of mine has a cherry 68 camaro and someone scratched
"NARC" in the side of it. His mom took her keys and changed the n to a m and the c to a k.
"MARK" - thought it was funny.

Sorry about the crappy luck. I also had my fender on my camaro smashed in one day when I was at the mall. God I hate other humans.

 

well its not so much that it happened that bothers me, its that it comes at a time when i am already under emotional stress....school is starting, i am saying goodbye to alot of friends who are headed for college and that is alot of emotional weight as it is, so i cant belive that anyone i know, all of whom know im feelin kinda ****ty cause everyone is leaving, would add more stress to my life by screwin with my car...now, i dont think its anyone i know, not even anyone who hates me...which is odd, since everyone loves me, no one really hates me....if it is someone i know, an enemy let's say, they know i'd f**k them up real good if i found out, i dont take this kinda stuff lightly, i dont let this kinda crap slide, and everyone knows that....so whoever did it either has a deathwish, or has no clue who i am......

 

not alot has changed, im looking for a way to protect the scratch so it dont start to rust or anythign like that...any ideas r welcome.....as far as finding out who did it...there has been a blue car (not sure wut make and model) driving back and forth in front of my house realtively slowly at least 3 times a day for the past 2 days, inside that car has been 2-3 black kids, none of whom can i recogonize, it looks very apparent to me that they have a vested interest in my car, as each time they drive by, they slow down and look at my car, and point....very odd and very suspicious...especially considering that there are no aferican american families living on my street...hmm im goin to try to take a license plate number, if it happens again im callin the cops....

 

hah that key is nothing dude, last year after i had dumped my gf she threw a brick through my windshield and keyed almost every pannel of the honda i had

Follow them!!! and get some plate numbers and find out who they are. Let the Cops try and help if they dont fix it then give them a taste of their own medicine and torch their car!!! Or stop them the next time they drive by and smack em a few times with a nice sturdy bat!!! I caught a few teens breaking into my old car before my stang and I gave one three sets of stiches and broke the other kids arm with a bat, I got a slap on the wrist and they went down for felony auto burgalry, one of the kids was 17 and his mom didnt press charges because he had stolen her car to drive into town, they wound up being responsible for 10-20 break ins and had cocaine and pot in their possesion. Use this advice at your own will, im not responsible, but Ive always tended to take care of situations like this myself.

 

yeah but, they never hang around long enough for me to get in and follow them...and that kinda vigilante justice will only get me in trouble...

lol sounds like a good idea...altho i wonder how legal that actually is...anyhow, i washed and waxed my car today, i figured wax was prolly the best way to keep anything from getting into the scratch, including water, i made sure to dry the scratch extra well, taking care to evaporate any and all water i could from it...then waxed the whole care up to a brilliant shine, and the scracth is still there, but much less noticable now...which is good at least for my morale....anyhow, i'll keep ya'll posted...

dude, thats like a scary coincidence, i have a black 2001 v6 coupe mustang too, and it got keyed a couple weeks ago, i was crashin at a friends house and probably asleep by then and when i left in the morning my car was all keyed up, didnt really think about it before but its kind of a bad neighborhood, gah i hate bastards like that, but i got a free paintjob from the comprehensive insurance so its not all bad i guess
