This is nothing new at all. You all see the shorty on svtperformance where a guy bragged about ******* a 04 cobra out when it was in for service? turned out owner posts on there and sued the dealer for hot rodding his car. Crazy ****.

Do dealerships not log the mileage when the car was dropped off? Seems like that should be a requirement to keep situations like this from happening.

so everytime u have yr car serviced clearly say u have xxxxxx amount of miles and u dont expect it to be any higher when u return. take a picture of yr dash right as u drop it off or something.

Not a bad idea.....at least it lets the dealership know your REALLY serious about doing something about it. Dealerships usually like to argue or give you the run around until most people just give up and go away....I would also contact Chevy's Coporate office as well.

I would be REALLY upset if this happened to me. To be honest, I quit taking my car to the dealerships cause I was getting tired of all the little scams they try to pull.

he paid 30 over sticker for a z06? hahaha
And there shouldnt be even 10 miles on an alternator problem. They may take it for a quick 10 minute spin to make sure everything is being charged correctly.

after working at a dealership i know this, if you want something done...you go to the top. demand to see the owner about this, hell make it a big production in the showroom. they will do what ever it takes for you not to scare any customers away. you should contact GM asap, but as far a proving the milage and what was and wasnt done with the cops its all heir-se. unless you have concrete proof of it. o yeah, tell them point blank you are going to lawyer up. that one usually gets them on the ball to fixing the problem. and dont take no for an answer no matter how many times they say," we cant do anything.." BS, hell yes they can stuff like lifetime free oil changes, no charge for rental service when ever needed. there is all kinds of stuff you could get, fyi...money is not going to be one of them. you can try but they're not going to stroke you a check. just remeber, you still have to report them to GM, no matter what they give out...**** 'em they did it to you...you're only returning the favor.

Ummm this can all be done through one simple task. EVERYTIME before I bring my cobra in I have the service manager sign a mileage report a lawyer friend typed up for me. This states that if the car has over 50 miles on it that Ford takes all responsibilty and will reimburse me for the mileage lost. The service manager has always signed it for me. But I trust Villa ford.
