I get crap for my auto also, but i really could care less, people these days treat the auto GT compared tothe 5-speed GT as a V6 to a GT....yeah the 5-speed is fun to drive, I had a 5sp mustang before, The reason i bought my car was because i got a great deal on it, 5,000 less than BB ( it was my bros) and i have no regrets. A manual is only good if you know how to drive (MCM) I gurantee a lot of people on here with your 5spds cant drive worth crap, And i would take ANY one of you with my auto with 430's stall and Jmod ( when its done). So until you guys can shift as good as an auto i dont want to hear anything about manual being better than auto!
BTW im not trying to start a fight, just talking

manual tranny's= fun to drive, and you can hold your shift to optimum performance.

Auto tranny's= fun to drive cause you can get a (stall converter) and chirp gears with the best of them. Shift kits, converters, are all available to make your auto tranny do what any manual tranny can do. It's all in the torque converter with autos. Plus autos don't miss a shift as is very easy to do with a manual..

 

If it helps any I have driven both and I liked both of them.

 

Its ok.... just do what I did... and yes i have an Automatic... but the car is being taken to BC- Automotive (these guys know their **** with dealing with Transmissions) to have the following put in:

3200 PI Stall
Derale Transmission Cooler
Their own Performance Valve Body

All this will be linked into my newly built rear-end;

FRPP 4.10's
Moser 31 Spline Axles
F-150 Carrier

I'll take a manual any day... but my car is still fun to drive... and it still looks fockin' awesome!!!!

 

i just think that in sportcars you should have a stick. but this is coming from a guy who has drivin a stick since i got my first car. I think alot of people feel that sportcars should have sticks because cars like the zo6, viper, cobra only come in sticks. thats one reason i liked my s2000 so much, it only came in a stick. another good thing is when you buy the car you save about $1000 by just gettin a stick. onl thing i wouldnt like about an auto, is when your divin and you pass someone you have to throw it in N to rev at them. with a stick you just push in the clutch and give it a lil somethin. and you got to love the sound of a downshift. but i never hate on any1 for having a auto. i just prefer a manual.
