Before I bought my stang, I test drove an 01 z28. The salesman was a younger guy so he let me play with the car a little, that thing was completely stock and ran like a beast. The ls1 is a bad bitch, but I couldn't justify $22,000 for a used z. (a couple yrs ago)

Be smart, get a window switch and keep the shot/use down, and youll be fine. Look at spike, he's been using nitrous for like 4 years now, with two different cars, never even had a dyno tune, and is doing fine. Now, Id still strongly recommend a tune for it, but IT CAN BE DONE JUST AS IF NOT SAFER THAN A BLOWER.
thats for making my point i didnt feel like doing it.

I ran nitrous on my f150 for a long time on a 150shot on a 2v 4.6

i have been on nitrous for over a year 4 months untuned on a 125shot on my mustang. Its all about saftey learn how it works how to read plugs if you wanna go big like me and you can be safe. I am however getting a tune this summer finally. not to be safer but to get more n/a power out of my car. oh and i have never blown a motor on the bottle, trannys yeah i blew two in my f150. but thats a whole different animal right there, heavy truck light duty tranny doesnt work.

The guy three houses down from me has two Camaros, a 2000 z28 and a 01 SS. The z has the basic mods, sames as most of us, ex,tb,no cats,gears-I think, runs like it ! prob a few others. I've driven the z and it's sick fast(5sp). I love my Mustangs, always have, but like some have told you without a power-adder you will not win stock-vs-stock or even you with all the bolt-ons. now if you did bolt-on everything you can, you would run damn close if not win. Remember, there's no sub for cubic inches!

alright, your all right and im retarded then...and that is true, mustangs arnt the fastest, but all around are nice cars...looks...leather comfort...and still got the speed..

sry for being lame about it and stuff... think is i prolly dont think nitrous is that safe YET cause i dont kno ALOT about it and havnt used it personally i guess...

but if i got nitrous, wut brand would be best bet and such...and would i need anything new to run the nitrous better? like pistons or a fuel pump?

prolly a stupid question so if sum1 could just post a link to an MT post of nitrous or sumtin...thx

Like i said a simple wet kit with a 75 shot would be very safe and can be run on a totaly stock motor, you dont need anything but install the kit and use 93 octane gas when you spray and run copper plugs one step colder such as NGK tr6's part number 4177 at any parts store. for you i wouldnt recomend over a 75 till you learn more about it.
As per what kit there are tons out there all good. For a beginer who wants a safe easy to install kit i would say ZEX is your best bet, they can be had for cheap off ebay and install is easy and they will not spray if the fuel pressure gets low (aka a built in fuel pressure saftey switch).

Install the kit yourself. I dont know very many people that install them and if they do they will charge a arm and a leg. Where I got mine dyno'd it was $499 with equipment.....I had the tuner already so it cost me $350 for 3 tunes

So total under $800-900

$499 for a SCT x-cal 2 and 3 tunes to your liking.....cant go wrong with a wet kit....a 100 shot on a V6 and a dyno tune and you'll be gold

you could just get a wet kit spray 75 and be totaly safe on a stock tune, then when you swap gears get a tune for that ****.

You dont need a heater right away, and a purge isnt needed at all. Ebay has great used kits from all kinds of companys, thats where you can save a ton of money. My one freind has had 3 different kits on different cars never spent over 300bucks on a kit.
