Default Stupid, Stupid, Stupid

Well guys, I'm officially gone from the mustang world for the time being.

Sunday morning (2am) I wrecked my mustang into a hydrant. I was intoxicated, arrested for a DUI, car impounded, ect.

I was called today by my insurance company and told the car is a total loss. Unfortunately, at this moment, its about the least of my worries. I have to meet with an attorney on Friday, setup a hearing with the DMV, and then deal with the charges in a court as well.

I fucked up, I know it, don't really need to hear it a whole lot more. Should I have sympathy? No. My car sure as hell should.

Luckily, no one was with me, and no one was around. Shitty way to actually take my life and my decisions into view and start making changes, but, it is what it is now.

Glad no one was hurt...Be glad you didnt have that happen in Arizona...Sheriff Joe will have you wearing pink draws and sleepin in a tent somewhere in the desert up to 90-120 days depending on how drunk you were.

California is gonna **** up with fines...that sucks. But being dumg cost a lot of money!

I fucked up in april 2008...got busted with a BAC .08 in germany. I lost a lot but am startin to move back up. My **** didnt come back to the states though because it wasnt a DUI I got a DWI. I didnt know there was a difference. DUI is .1 in germany.

I'm glad you're okay, man. I don't want to see pictures of the car, it would bother me because you just put so ******* much money into it and now it's all down the drain.

I respect you for having the courage to post this and for knowing what you did was wrong and not making excuses for it. This is something that isn't taken lightly and shouldn't be, but yet you let us know anyway.

I really hope that everything works out as well as it can for you and that you'll think twice before ever doing something that stupid again.

That sucks, hopefully you don't have to spend too much time behind bars. I've heard that California has a minimum jail time penalty.

At least your alive and kicking....... I knew a guy in highschool that has since wraped a car around a tree while drunk driving. He made it but broke his spine in to places and unless there is some great medical advancement he will never walk again

Glad your not hurt. It is a tough lesson to learn but at least you are learning it. I see too many in my line of work that don't get a chance to learn from their mistakes. Good Luck!!

for a first offense...doubt it. Thats why you spend 3-5 grand on a DUI lawyers. My cousin just got a DUI back in September and she blew a .18! over double the limit...I havent heard from her November court date outcome though.

In Arizona you go to jail.

i got arrested for DUI last year less than 500 yards from my house at a roadblock. Here in GA, its a mandatory 24 hours in jail, hella fines, car impounded. I paid 3500 for my attorney, and got EXTREMELY lucky in court. My case was dismissed. I blew .12, and looked like **** on the dashcam. Best of luck bro

I haven't been able to take a look at my car yet, still sitting in police impound, I'll be getting it out today, hopefully.

My cousin is a pretty decent DUI lawyer, luckily, so I won't be paying him anything, he's doing this for free for me.

He's pretty sure I won't be going back to jail and that my license will only be suspended for 30 days.

As far as what my next car is going to be, it won't be anything close to a mustang, probably a beater car to get me from A to B for the time being, eventually I'll work back to a mustang, but thats later down the road.

I'm trying to find out if I can simply purchase my motor/rear end back from the insurance company, to sell it, if the motor isn't severely damaged, I'll pull the internals and the cam out and sell them, probably scrap the rest..but I'm unsure at this moment.

Yea, kinda hard to act like this isn't a big deal, it may take a toll on my job, as well as everything else that it hasn't already hit. For my family, me getting into this sort of trouble is a big deal, I've for the most part always been the good one.

If I can get it, should just buy the entire stroker 10.5:1 compression forged pistons, h beam rods, and a nice crank all with about 2500 miles on them lol.

If I get it all back I'll probably sell it all for like $750 bucks or so.. and thats if everything is still in good condition.
