How about this...get XM radio or something and then use your factory antenna somehow or get a CB antenna that looks a little more factory and have it in the existing spot? I don't know if that is possible but anything is better than that. With technology these days there HAS to be a smaller CB antenna out there somewhere?

yeah i agree, at least a smaller base. the height is ok. but that big base like i've said before is a killer.

could you hook it up to the stock one if so than that would be good or at least put it somewhere else (like in the trash)

Alright alright alright, after reading the various opinons (that all sorta leaned the same way), I decided to buy another antenna. It's a 21inch antenna with a 4-inch base thats the size of your pinky finger. Its a CONSIDERABLE cut back from the 37-inch antenna with the large base... I'll sell the 37 to someone with a truck or what not.

no really tho... will it work from inside the car?
The only **** I get for it is on the boards, no one seems to care (or even notice) around here.. but you technically could mount it *inside* the car provided the wire didn't touch anything... the CB's are based of a metal grounding, so if its hitting a piece of metal or fabric halfway up the antenna, you won't get any reception.

I think the 21-inch would deffinately sit better with you guys.

it would work if you shoved it down my throat, because your body is grounded by your feet to the ground... so technically if ya'll just wanted to get into a bus and drive over here and beat the **** out of me for having one on my car, you could shove it down my throat and get decent reception.

Ok, you've spent money on a saleen body kit and are soon to have saleen wheels, your car is heavy on the styling side, why muck it up with an antenna? The only way I'd do it would be to use the stock antenna location as the cb antenna location. BTW< did you buy your tires yet?

Yeah, I did buy all the Saleen stuff... and you know I really don't mind having an antenna on my car. No one notices it, except for you guys because you know the Mustang top-down, so you're used to seeing consistency... I want mine to be different... The 21-inch is TINY, so TINY you would barely be able to see it in a distant picture.

And check the pictures section.

hey milos, if nobody else notices it and nobody bothers you about it except for on these forums then why bother replacing it? who cares what we think, if you're fine with the antenna then ignore what anyone here says.
