Default tuner question

My brother is looking at a diablo tuner on Craigslist. The seller says it is unmarried. How can he be sure before buying it. Can he plug it into his car and check real quick before he buys it.

I think the only way to tell is, plug it up and it will ask you to download your stock tune into programmer, if you come up with an error code then its still married to the other car.

Also I believe that after three different cars the programmer will lock up and can not be used again.

Make sure the part number is correct before handing over any cash. ie; Its the right model for the car.

If its had the 93 tune (dependant on model) returned to the programmer and like Bubba says the stock tune returned to the car it should be good to go.
