A chip will add a a certain amount of power based on your mods and who tunes the car. Whats done to your car?

Well if you just bought the car and it has no mods, it would be pointless to get a tune. I would start by doing some bolt ons..exhaust, throttle body, plenum and then a tune might help you out

That's not really true....if he's got an automatic he can adjust the shift points and get a little HP gain from adding a 91 or 93 octane tune. Yes, a tuner does help compliment mods, but I wouldn't say it's pointless....plus you can use it to read codes.

I agree, not pointless. You can still gain power with a stock car.
