i have a 96 gt 4.6 it makes a loud annoying roaring whistling sound. and it sounds like its coming from the air intake tube.does anyone know what this could be? it has stock tube. would a cai help get rid of it? thanks in adv.

 

Sounds like its not sealed all the way around. Pull it apart and remove the silencer out and reassemble, should be good to go.

You can remove the Air Silencer and keep it out if you want, better air flow.

 

Maybe someone installed a centri while you weren't looking???
