Cobra brake Q's and Fluid Q's
So I decided to hold of the gun for a few more months and decided to address my minor warped brake issue even tho I drive my car less than 10 miles a day and around town you cant tell to bad but at speed its a bit agrivating. So first where is the best place to order them from. Looking to order asap, tonight hopefully if I find everything. Is this a good deal http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...Front-Calipers ? Also what pads?? I;m not looking into really track or street strip since I might go to the track twice a year but a good pad. Also should I switch to dot 4 fluid? My car still has the factory fluid in it so would it be worth going to dot 4 or staying dot 3??

also is it even worth it for me as i can get this for a fraction of the cost even tho I dont need rear brakes?

I picked up my front kit for $400 shipped to my door from BuyFordRacing. They had a deal awhile back for front 10th anniversary cobra brake kits for $360+ shipping. The kit came with stainless steel lines too. I'd wait to find a better deal, $500 is too much in my opinion. I just kept my stock fluid and refilled it as I was bleeding the lines.

stock replacement pads would be my recommendation. For fluid, ATE Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid is the best deal going and you'll have an easy time changing the brake fluid since it's violet colored and you can see when it hits the ends of the lines during the bleeding phase. Cost for the fluid is about 16 bucks a quart and it's a real racing fluid with a very high wet boil which I like for street cars that get driven hard.

So idk what I want to do. I really want the cobras but they would basically only be for looks and I can get ford oem factory replacement pads and rotors for 140. What to do what to do. Idk I really don't justify the extra money just for looks in my situation. And I can still get a gun.

I don't think every car needs Cobra brakes. Granted, you will be able to stop in a shorter distance, and a few feet could save you from and accident. Stock size blank-face rotors, good pads, and good fluid such as the one R3d mentioned or Motul RBF600, what I use, SS brake lines, should be good. It will be the cheaper route and in most cases all the brake you will need. There are a million mustangs running around on the stock brakes, so not everyone needs the Cobra brakes.

Oh crap... I didn't even notice you were flossin a v6. My bad... I was giving you GT advice.
Just follow 01FR500's direction. I thought you were in a GT. The GT's don't have enough brake IMO but the v6 is light enough up front that those are fine for it with good pads.
EBC Green or Yellow up front, OEM in back. Plain face rotors and good fluid. SS brake lines help pedal feel and consistency too so I'd add those.
I have a set of SS brake lines but I'm not certain what they go to. They're the right length for our cars. I'll see if they'll work for you and if so I'll give em to you for 50 shipped instead of the 100 you'd usually pay.

I get my Motul from my Little Rock mechanic, about $12-15 from him. MaximumMotorsports carries fluid, Tirerack, all online race equipment stores like Safe Racer or I/O Port. If I were you though, I would just go to the local parts store and find some Valvoline synthetic. It's similar to Ford's synthetic fluid with a dry boiling point over 400F, not sure about it's wet BP, but its really cheap. The reason for the racing fluids is the really high wet boiling point, which is what matters unless it's super fresh fluid as it's hygroscopic.

Considering his SN is mustangV6_04 lol.
I think you made a good choice not spending the money for Cobra brakes at the moment. For your use I don't think they'd get much use...money better spent on something like a 75-shot. Ehhhh? Eh? Lol.

I think the Cobra setup is overkill for you, unless like you said "looks" I would even go back to OEM fluid, just flush the system and you should be good to go.
Save the money and put a parachute on it so when you hit 156 mph, just toss the laundry and save your brakes
