Steel Braided Brake Lines and Parking Brake Light
Last night I swapped my brake lines for Russel Steel Braided Brake lines in preperation for an upcoming track day. I bled any air out of the system and flushed the fluid completely, replacing it with Wilwood high temp fluid 570.
Everything went together without any trouble, The issue now is that whenn I come to a stop and put moderate pressure on my brake pedal, my parking brake light comes on. When I let the pressure off the brake, the light turns off... Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?
Thanks
Brian,
P.S. I just noticed that my information is quite out of date. I now have a 2003 Torch Red Mach 1.

Try pumping your brakes a few times. This happened to my friend's Camaro in which after hitting the brakes a few times, it went away. Also, check the fluid level. If the problem pursits, check for leaks and re-bleed your brakes.

If you check the fluid level and everything is good (no leaks for example) you may have gotten air in the HCU of the ABS unit. If that's the case you'll have to have the dealership bleed them or a brake specific shop, cause they'll be the only ones that have the right tool...

I left the level a bit low because I wanted to leave a bit of room for any expansion from race type heat. I guss that's no good. I topped it off last night and no more light.
