Question Stock Clutch Adjustment

Hello, I have a 2000 GT Convertible 5spd with 70,000 miles on it.

I was wondering if there is anyway to adjust the stock clutch. When I pulled it out of storage the clutch smelled a bit on the way home. I figured it was just from it sitting. Drives and smells fine now, however it dosen't seem to have as much pull in 5th gear as it used to.

Thought perhaps I could adjust it some verses installing a new clutch.

Thanks.

You just pull up on the pedal, it self adjusts.

Replaced my clutch with the Ford Racing King Cobra and it self adjusted.
I pushed it in a few times and then lube the Clutch Cable Line.

I know where your coming from though, after I wrecked my clutch the 5th gear didn't seem to pull like it should. I was like "what the ****" who cares and get over it. 5th gear isn't really supposed to be pulling that much unless you have a higher gear ratio.

I thought it might self adjust as it is hydraulic - what do you mean pull up on the pedal -physically pull up on it??

Thanks

Well I didn't hear mine click or anything, but I knew it made a difference. Because I was playing with the peddle and I'm like what the **** is going on. Then randomly decided to pull it up as far as I can and then it changed.

Thanks for the input - I looked it up and you are correct, I guess I just assumed it was.

I had a 2004 GT Coupe for few years that I bought new I ended up selling it and then ran across the 2000 GT Convertible I have now. Picked it up last fall and put it in storage. Just got it out and am in the process of going through some minor issues.

Thanks

Usuaully a lot of people will go in and start it up and let it run for awhile. Like once a week or so.
I do the same thing for my MotorCycle durning the Winter, I'll run it like every day or every other day, usually when I remember or I'm by it. It sits outside under a shelter covered. LOL

Good luck!
