If you want loud and no tone then they are cool. I had the LM1's they were cool for about 4 days.

Everyone is gonna have a different taste as to what they like the sound of. Like me I am old school and like H-pipes and chambered mufflers, so thats why I rock Mac catbacks because they sound good and flow way better then flowmasters.

Just jump on Youtube and check some videos out. My friend has a 99 cobra with long tubes, o/r H, and a dynomax ultraflow catback and it sounds really good.

If you want something loud, but has more tone than the LM1/2 I'd check out the Magnaflow Magnapack catback.

The last customer's car that I installed an SLP cat back on without converters only thought it was cool for four minutes. He turned around after a mile and came back to get his stock h pipe put back on until he could order another cat back.

You can listen to clips of many brands of exhaust at

http://www.mustangexhaust.com

Helped me with my decision to go with a mac offroad H with a dynomax ultra flo system.

Exhaust is personal. I have had LM1 for years on my car and still do. For the most part, though, if you run this catback, you need to have cats on the car. Currently, I do do not, but I have a Pro-Chamber.

My car is reasonably quiet while crusing, but loud as F at WOT. I live in WI and it is not my DD. If I lived elswhere, or if I had to drive the car everyday, it is too loud.

Tis illegal in most states to remove the cats for emissions purposes. Check your own states laws as well as inspection rules.

For me, I live in Virginia, it is illegal to not have cats but most cops around here don't care about the noise as long as I'm not goin WOT through a quiet neighborhood. And to beat an inspection I cut 2 generic cats in half and welded them over the midpipe so it looks like they're in line.

I've also seen people leave the cats and and just hollow them out.
