I had a Diablosport programmer on my old V6 Mustang due to the gears. I let my parents handle selling the car since I had to leave it there. They sold the car without knowing much about it, so probably couldn't tell the buyers everything done to it. They sold it to a kid who lives out of town, but if I tried I could eventually get in contact with him. I have tried to talk to him to give him some old stock parts. But nothing ever came of it, I'd like to meet the previous driver of the car if I were him.

Here is the problem: He doesn't know about the programmer. The car was sold while I was out of town, was never able to give it to him or take the tune off the car, so the programmer is still married to the car. It's been over a year and a half now, I still have the programmer. I would like to use it for my car but it needs to be un-married from the other car. Can I contact Diablosport and pay to have the programmer reset or unmarried? Or is it possible to go to a certified tuner and have them do this? I'd like to be able to use the programmer for my car since I plan on getting gears eventually.

 

Contact Diablosport and see if they can send you a reset for the thing, i have heared of this being done. you might have to show the bill of sale though

 

It will be impossible to show any bill of sale or proof of purchase. I am almost certain I haven't kept up with my reciept. I bought it through RPMOutlet.com years ago. When I get some free time I will shoot them a call.

 

You have to pay a fee and they will unlock it for you. Is the model you have the one thats for 94-04 mustangs v6 or v8 minus the cobra? Regardless they can unlock it and even send you a new tune for your car.

Yeah I have the one that works for just about everything except Cobra. Hopefully the cost of getting a new tune won't be too much.
