Default Engine Swapping

I always have thought about whether I wanted to upgrade to a V8 or not, just because I really like my car and it has sentimental value as my first.

But I was just thinking, and is it possible to just buy a V8 engine and swap my V6 out for it?

I know there are other differences like the emblems and rear bumper and stuff, but is there anything that would prevent me from swapping engines?

You would need engine harnesses, ECU various other little things that annoy the hell outta people. It can be done just lots of money will go into it and its gonna end up costing more than wat a Gt will cost you.

The cost of a motor swap varies greatly depending on where you get your parts and if they are new or not. If you search and find deals on parts it can either be very cheap or very expensive. Also if you do the work yourself it will of course be much cheaper.

We swapped motors before and cost for one swap was under $1000 when all said and done. It just depends on what you pay for parts and if you can do the work yourself.

And of course you can put a v8 in your car. They came with them after all.
