Default Wipers still randomly turning on.....

Well after reading into it some it seemed the problem was the multifunction switch, so I replaced that. Everything was fine for a couple of weeks, then today the temperature dropped to the 50s, got in the car..******* wipers went on. And they continued randomly coming on all the way to campus, and whenever I used the blinker..

What the hell is wrong with this...and what should I look at now, the wiper motor itself?

not the motor... its a "dumb" part... it has to get a signal for it to run...but you might want to check the connection running to it... you may be getting a ground signal to the motor where and when it shouldnt be getting one. the stalk could be bad still...new it box bad, or if its used...well...u know.

check the relay for the wipers... replace it even...they arent expensive...the spring in it could have failed making a connection when its not supposed to.

100k? You better go higher than that. Plus, the car itself sees about 10 miles a month if its lucky.

like I said....when your car has 100k on it and mine has 300k...we'll see whos car is failing. yours will be dead...mine will be running like it did the day it was new. Toyota > Ford in reliability.

Mine won't be dead. But not that it matters, I barely drive the car. It would take me 10 years to reach 100k.
