Psychotic windshield wipers?
I'm not sure if I spelled psychotic wrong, but I don't care.
Every once in a while when I turn my car on, the wipers will make 1 rotation, it kind of pisses me off since it's USUALLY the morning after I just cleaned my windshield, and they smear **** all over it (I need to replace the blades) and leave streaks.
But that's nothing to this, Monday I was driving around, and out of the blue the ******* wipers started rotating at random intervals..they would go...wait 2 seconds, go...wait 1 second, go...wait 20 seconds, go. I actually started cussing them (the wipers) out as my friend sat in the passenger seat looking at me like I was nuts (he drives a VW and I joke about their electrical problems all the time when I ride with him so I'm sure he got a huge kick out of this). The **** was in the off position. I turned the car off/on again, and they still did the ****. Got frustrated so I just stopped in a neighborhood and took them off and threw them in my backseat for the time being, and the little damned ***** they mount on still kept on rotating.
I haven't driven the car for a day so I'm not sure if it's stopped, I put the wipers back on though and am driving tomorrow....does anyone have an idea as to what's causing this? Loose wire, bad connection, ford-demon, etc?

its the stalk to the left of your steering wheel..(the only stalk you have) the one that turns on your wipers, turn signals, washer spray etc. thats where your wipers get the signal to move. It may be firing off bogus signals from time to time.
