Got my 04 cobra front bumper installed on my 99 gt and i had planned on buying a mach 1 grille kit but now i see that it won't fit. The stock grille wouldn't fit either. What options do i have that will look as good as the mach 1 grille kit?

 

the cobra stock grill is like a mach1 if im not mistaken but it comes with a snake instead of a horse... but the bracket should be the same... call ford and order just the pony that bolts on mach1 grill and put it on.. but u would also need cobra grill then take off the snake.

 

You don't really need the it. The only thing you would need is the horse emblem. The black plastic piece that runs along the bumper is not needed for the 03 cobra bumper. The only other thing you might want, is the piece that goes in front of the radiator, if you don't want it shown much, but you don't need the whole kit. I have the same bumper on my 00 GT.

 

ok got the emblem. what kind of screwdriver will i need to get those two screws on the header cover (radiator cover?) out? they look like torx screws but have a circular center piece. never seen them before.

 

It's a security bit. You can find them at most hardware stores. I got a 100 peice kit of different security bits from Harbour Freight for like $7.99.

Not to hijak the thread, but I wanted an '01 termi front bumper and I like the mach plastic piece that goes along the bottom of the grill. Would that not work on the '01 termi bumper?

 

Nope as the cobra bumpers have that part shaved.

 

You could have the cobra one painted black though, which I would personally do to keep the original look. Most ppl just paint it to match the color of their car though.
