Default A little help please

my wife has a 1991 acura legend with almost 280K on the clock. it's probably not going to last long and has recently developed a coolant leak could be a head gasket I don't know. the leak is really slow and i'm wondering if any of you know of a product that can be poured into the coolant system and will stop it long enough for me to get her a new car.

It depends on where the leak is coming from for those stop leaks to work. I can tell you a few to know if its a head gasket or not. Look in the oil if it looks like a milkshake its coolant in the oil. If it blows white smoke out of the tail pipe and I mean a constant white smoke thats water vapor from burning coolant. Those are the two tell tail ways to know if its a leaking head gasket.

the oil is good and there is no smoke from the tail pipe there is just always a small puddle of coolant under the car but it only is dripping right after the car has been running. (it's definatly coolant and not condensation from the ac) the coolant seems to be coming from somewhere between the back of the engine and the firewall but i can't see back there cause there is so much crap in the way (damn front wheel drive).
