I've already been in contact with the American importer of the kit they used. I'm trying to get some details on pricing and maybe a GP.

Let the flaming begin...

Do it. Looks like a good idea just from reading that article.

Thats something I would be interested in, granted it is at a reasonable price. Almost $60 to fill up is getting too rediculous. Let me know what you find out r3d. I wonder how far you can drive on a 20 gallon tank of propane?

you can get as far on 20 gallons of propane as you can on about 16-18 gallons of gasoline. The retail price around here is up to 3.50 a gallon. Considering that I have to use 4.77 a gallon premium (today's price as well) the ROI (return on investment) is about 12-18 months away. The upshot though for me is the 112 octane... say hello to a few degrees more timing advance. You can tune for natural gas too. Takes the same basic system but the tanks are different and finding a place to fill up could be an issue.

Already had 2 companies say they don't make a system to flow enough gas to feed our engines, and one of those just didn't want to bother making the kit. Got a few more bites though.

I'm still interested, so I'll be looking forward to updates as they come in.

I am sure we are going to see many more inventions of this nature come to surface soon and be available thats for sure.

Well that article is kinda miss leading if thats the case becuase they have it hooked up w/ a ProCharger and you would think that would have the need for more gas than the average stock mustang or something with half that of mods?

there are regulators available that will easily flow 500hp worth of gas and lots more. I've seen places that sell the parts. I'm trying to get them to make a kit that's friendly enough for anyone to use. Tuning it would be the biggest deal and that's not really that big a deal. The biggest reliability issues I've seen raised are oil consumption and contamination but I haven't gotten deep enough in to know what the exact nature of those problems is (most mentions seemed to cover converting diesel to LPG which we don't care about really).

The ambulance co. i work for just switched out all thier v8 trucks to propane so there must be something to it. I'd seriously consider it.
