I have never heard of anyone trying. Keep in mind that would require adding valves. I think it would be easier to do a motor swap...and possibly cheaper if you found a used motor.

Just find someone who is getting new heads for their 4v and buy them and be done with it, it will prolly save a lot of money and headaches, I dont really thing it is feasible. I wont say impossible, but I wouldnt waste the time and effort on it.

It could be done just alot of money, You would need to get the timing chains from a four valve because a gt only has two , you would also need to get the heads, and the lower intake aswell as the uper intake manifold, new computer, new mas air, and a Big head ache to do everything , If you are looking to get alot of power it can be done on a 2 valve gt motor.

Get some new heads, New cams, build the bottom end and then put some boost to it!

I don't know exactly what you are trying to do, but if you mean transforming 2v heads into 4v heads, it's absolutly totally impossible, there completly different valve trains, if anyone would like to refute that, I will spend the time to point out a million or so reasons why. The killer, easy, you would have to cut cam journals, which in impossible due to the heads not being wide enough, you would have to weld in blocks on material to cut these out of, as they are not present, then you would have to reconfigure the PI ports , seperate them, and by some act of god, split them, and try to make them resmble the tumble port design, all of which are totally impossible.

If you mean dropping 4v heads onto a gt block, yep that can be done with a whole 4v top end along with the timing cover. It's being done all the time. You can make more power than you will ever need with the 2v. KenB from modular depot just went 10's with a N/A 2v, thats right a N/A 2v engine.

Alot of companies off a "00" cobra motor and tranny with all needed hookups for like $6000 if you really want the 4v that's probably your best off. They've got them all the time in Muscle Mustang Mags but like it was said before you can make some power with the 2v add a little huffer and some other minor mods and you're well on your way to an LS1 killer
