Hello folks,

Friend of mine bought the SLP exhaust for his 05 GT (from american muscle) and now his neighbors are giving him grief. I have a 2008 GT/CS with stock mufflers and we want to swap.

Since I dont have the 'special' hanger kit, I was wondering if we would be able to swap as long as I swap with him his brackets and hangers and vice versa.

Can anyone tell me if that will work? I wanted to know before we got started.

I have an 08 and have the "special hangers" i think ford switched back to the good hangers.

 

Hi Justin! Im justin too Well according to the AM advisory after 2007 the hangers they use are cheaper. So I did get under the cars and I can see some differences, but Im just not sure.

Yeah it says you need the different hangers. When i bought my axelback i got the hangers too but i didnt need them. if you have the black metal square ones they are it.

 

Tell him to go buy them a set of ear plugs and be done with it. I've got a set of SLP Loudmouths on my 05 GT, and I couldn't possibly give a **** less if my neighbors thought\think they're to loud.

If he's really ok with getting a quieter set of pipes, then I'd tell him to give his neighbors a list of pipes he'd be ok with having on his car, and say as soon as THEY buy them and pay to have them installed, then he'll have it done, otherwise you could kiss my *** if you think that you're going to tell me what I can\can't - should\shouldn't have on MY car.
