Question Looking for a high quality fiberglass hood!

Hi,

Looking into getting a fiberglass hood for my 01 stang. I have doing a search and have run across some horror stories of certain companies.
I was looking into HO Fibertrends, how is there quality. I don't mind paying extra as long as the quality is there.

I agree with the above. Stay away from Cincinnati concepts though...

I have the Steeda cowl hood.....made by Kaenan (it's stamped in the glass on the bottom side) . Nice fit and finish...my paint/body man had no problems.

Id love to see more pictures of that hood. I wanted the Harwood 3" cowl before, but that hood looks pretty good. Any idea how much it weighs, does it require hood pins?

H.O fibertrends quality is Top Notch. They have a limited selection though...It's Cobra R hood or nothing else.

When I change to 03/04 Cobra heads and new Intake manifold I'll require at least a 2 1/2" Hood to achieve acceptable clearence. I will be going with a (company to remain nameless until I possessone) Carbon Fiber 2000 Cobra R hood with a 2.5" Cowl. It's gonna cost a pretty penny (~$600 shipped) But it'll be damn worth it. And the hood only weights 11 lbs.

Default Cervini is good

i put a Cervini stalker ram air hood on my 02. It fit better than the oe factory hood, and looks better. Be advised that they recommend adding the matching stalker bumper cover to get the best fit between the hood and bumper.

Attached is a pic of my car - hope this helps.

I purchased my hood. Its carbon Fiber heat extractor and its similar to Saleen but has a 4" rise. It has 2 vents on top as well as the one in the middle.
