The best way to envision the process:
-imagine filling a cup with maple syrup
-put a piece of cloth where you want it to stay/mold to
-dip cheap chip brush into syrup
-dab/spread syrup on cloth so that it pentrates the cloth
-repeat several times
Of course, the syrup is polyester or epoxy resin here. And you're doing this in your car. And it dries rock hard. In doing so, it stays in the countour/shape where you placed it.
"Fiberglass" = resin + cloth or mat

lol of course... when i actually begin the project i'll start with the pics... but as of right now i need a sub first so i know what to base the size of the box off of.. i'm thinking one 12" audiobahn!!!

I have been out of the audio scene for a bit as far as brands but the Rockford HE2 DVC (dual voice coils) I have had for 3 years with no problems. Since it has 2 voice coils and if you get the 4ohm model you can drop it down to 2 ohms in parrallel or if you have two subs you can drop it to 1 ohm but it depends on your amp if it is 2 or 1 ohm stable. The less resistance the more power your amp can provide to the speakers. Sometimes you dont want to do this as if you have an amp that gives 200w at 4ohms and 400w at 1ohm but the sub only can handle 250w then you will blow the sub at 1ohm. Not sure how much you know about audio stuff but theres alot to consider and sometimes sticking a 12in 250w is not going to be good as dropping in 2 200w 10in subs. Do your research before you buy anything and think if adding 2 10s will be easier than a 12 in the back.

audiobahn
why would you set there and diss audiobahn my flame series could take any of those subs you named to the cleaners they might be expensive but its worth the money....stick with audiobahn i would recomend 2 4ohm subs but 1 2 ohm can put out some power
