Default Fuel pump AGAIN!

Had to have my fuel pump replaced about 10,000 mile ago. Ford dealership did the work. Well driving around town yesterday it started stumbling at idle and wouldn't accelerate. Plugged in my predator tuner and used the run log and watched the fuel rain pressure and it dropped down to 10 PSI. Barely idling then. Pressure jumped back up to 40 PSI and idled good. My question is does the stock fuel pump just suck. Is this a common problem, will changing to a after market higher flow pump work? My wifes 03 GT did the same thing over the summer. Let it sit overnight and it hasn't done it again.

Could be alot of things. Clogged filter, bad Fuel pressure regulator, vaccum leak. OEM pumps are normally pretty good.

You dont hear of stock pumps going out alot at all, and going aftermarket wont fix whatever problem you have.
