focus pump is great for any nitrous feed or blown car. it will support about 450rwhp depending on psi, injectors etc...

Like he said...it just puts out a lot more fuel than the stocker can.

There was a great article in MM&FF in the past year about fuel pumps. This one is about the best there is.

Why do focus fuel pumps pump out more gas than mustang fuel pumps? it makes no sense to me yet. Isnt the focus a 4 cylinder???? You would think that a mustang fuel pump could deliver more fuel as the engine needs more fuel..........I always meant to ask this question..but never have till now.
you say the focus fuel pump can pump out more gas? why would a focus need more gas than a stang?

its not just ANY Focus fuel pump but the SVT Focus fuel pump, standard Focus fuel pumps are problem childs and should never be used.

I still dont see why and how a SVT focus fuel pump benefits mustangs......go into detail as to why the SVT focus fuel pump delivers more gas than mustangs pumps?

wouldnt we want a Fuel pump from a 03-04 SVT cobra if we added a Supercharger kit to the GT....? why the SVT focus fuel pump? the car still only makes 170HP....

don't worry, I am right there with you. I have never gotten a grasp on that concept either. It does seem backward.

I can answer that question easily. A lot of people actually do use the cobra pumps, but in order to do that, you have to use the cobra fuel tank, and the pumps. Its more expensive, and costs about 6-700 dollars to run it. The nice thing about the focus pump, is that it is a direct replacement for the stock GT pump, it flows better, and is like 80 bucks I think. There is no telling why the focus svt pump flows better, maybe it needs it to handle the awesome power...

It is just a better pump and is oversized for the focus.

Because some really good salesman did a good job. It just is what it is. No reason to ask "why". Ford just did it that way.

That was funny. I really came off like an a-hole in that post...I did not mean it that way.
