Default How do you remove the head rests from the front seats of an 02?

I have an 02 V6 coupe. I used to have a convert. My convert had poles under the head rests, but this car has a solid metal piece. I'm trying to get some seat covers on, but without removing the head rests I'm going to have to slice the covers which I dont want to do so my question is, is how do you remove the head rests?

Nevermind I figured it out. If anyones curious on how to do it, pull the black plastic piece underneath the head rest up all the way, get a 12 inch metal ruler or something simular and jam it down inside the front of the rest. Theres a metal clip holding the head rest so you have to get it just right in the groove which is about 6 and half inches down. Then just wiggle and pull with your life. Eventually it will pop right out if the clip is hit right.

Good tip. That's been nagging at me for a while. So long even that I don't even have stock seats anymore.
