Default Rant and Rave....GT Front Seats

Do any of you guys hate the 99-04 GT front seats as much as I do??? It's like you go around a corner and there is no support and they are not comfortable at all.

Has anyone done a seat swap and if so was it expensive? I wish the GT's came with the Mach 1 front seats!

I agree GT seats suck!! It's like sitting on a greased watermelon when you go around a corner. There appears to be a lot on inexpensive seats out there but I dont know what you do for mounts.

The seat blows... when you recline the seat it’s either to back or to forward.... also the leather sucks, my seat is cracking not because I don’t take care of it. It’s because I’m 6'3" 260 lbs. I love my Stang but you know Ford they put crappy parts in their cars...

I like the seats but it seems like the lower part of the back rest comes out too far even when it's set back...I recline the sates way back to be comfortable but the angle sucks if you want support on your upper back

My other beef with the stock seats is they sit too high. I am 6'3" and My head rubs the headliner while driving. When I go to the track the problem gets much worse when I put on My helmet!!! Anybody got and ideas to fix that problem??

racing seats (like Sparco) and new brackets might lower it a bit.

I'm sure cloth seats aren't too bad since it gets pretty hot in Texas. Cloth seats don't crack either!

I was driving around in my bosses 05 gt today and his front seats are much better than my 03 gt, but I still love the mach 1 seats. Are the bullitt seats similiar to the mach 1 seats?

I hate the GT seats... the seats in my friend's Ranger Edge has better bolstering than these things!

Cobra or Mach 1/Bullitt seats are the way to go

I have a 98 GT with cloth seats and i find them comfortable. They sit low, im 6'4" and have plenty of room. It may just be that it is the 98 and not the 99-04. but i dont have any problems with them.

I love my GT leather seats. The leather itself is crapola but they are cumfy for me and I drive alot so I have no complaints on comfort but they arent very "sporty"

Talk about back from the dead...anyways. The seats only bother me on long trips, and only in the lower back region. The one think I do hate, are the friggin seat belts...

ha ha ha....no kidding. I posted this thread back in December or so. My seats aren't cracking or anything, but they just aren't comfortable to me at all. I'd love to have Cobra or Mach 1 seats.
