Default Clutch problem.

Ok tonight I was driving my car and went to shift into 3rd gear and I hear some noise from under my car as if somethin broke and my clutch went really soft. I cant shift into any gear when engagin the clutch at all. Therefore I had to get my car towed home. When I dont press in the clutch I can shift into gears with no problem. When I press in the clutch to start the car it starts right up. Do you guys think my clutch cable snapped?

Sounds like your clutch cable. Follow it from your clutch up through the firewall and its probably frayed. if you need a new one, buy OEM.

I just looked at Dallas mustang they have a cable and quadrant for 60. Are they difficult to install? Looks like a job I should be able to do myself.

dont buy it, they are garbage with a thin cable that rubs and frays easily. thats why i mentioned to go with OEM again.

If you want a good cable/quadrant kit, get the Maximum Motorsports piece. Comes w/ a topside adjuster, quadrant, and OEM cable. $121.36.
