IL tints laws suck. It states that no tints can be applied on the front two windows, but any % on the back windows. I'm not goin to risk the ticket so im wondering how 5% on the backs and leaving the fronts clear would look? does anyone have any pics of cars with this?

5% would look great, but i would suggest 20% and 50% upfront

I got a ticket for 35% on the sides but thats because the cop was a dick and he pulled me over for squeling my tires, i wouldnt do 20% my bro got 3 tickets for 20%

 

yeah you can usually get away with the tint laws in Illinois its not strictly enforced. At least thats how it is by me in the northwest suburbs. Unless of course your driving like a maniac and then they will find anyway to pull you over =)

also, any of u guys have a pic of a car with 20% on the front sides? i wanna see just how dark it appears?

 

Im in Buffalo Grove. My buddy has 35% tint in the front and the cops leave him alone. I'm getting mine done next month when ill be back in Michigan for college. It's cheaper to get it done up there.

i have 20% on the sides and 5% on the back three windows. I have never been bothered by cops but i am in california so i can't vouch for IL cops.

 

35% is as dark as you can go on the side windows and still be legal. pfft i got 5% all around never have recieved a ticket or been pulled over for my tint.:clap:
