Default probing interest in a piston only group purchase

Hey guys:

We've had a pretty good response to the 5.4L connecting rod GP and that's moving through with the purchase phase now. It's still open for anyone that's building a 5.4 for about 2 more weeks.

The piston portion is always harder so before I go to the trouble of making a GP available again I want to get an interest level from all of you.

I'll make available Probe and Mahle pistons with rings for under 500 bucks. Minimum group size is 5. You can usually expect to pay around 600 bucks for good quality forged pistons and rings (rings are usually 125 bucks a set retail by themselves...eeeeek) so this is a substantial discount.

You can assume that V8 sets will be available in standard bore, +.020 and +.030, come with tool steel pins and wire locks. They'll be available in flat top and dished. Flat tops will get you between 10:1 and 12:1 compression depending on your setup. Dished will be 9:1 - 9.6:1 for 11cc dish. Larger dishes are probably going to cost a bit more but not much.

V6's will hopefully be included on this deal, hopefully so will 5.0's but I'll have to get pricing and participation info for those based on the level of interest. So, if you are SERIOUS about buying pistons soon, then post up the engine type (v8/v6/v10), the year of the motor and what car it's in, flat top or dished (what dish size if dished), pin size, and all that stuff and I'll make the arrangements.

Please do not post questions about what's available. Everything I know for certain is already written down here. This is just a way for me to get an idea of whether or not I can pull off the GP based on numbers of participants.

Peece owt.

worry about a block later... they're plentiful if you know where to look. If you want to do the swap that I know you're looking at, jump on the parts deals that I bring you cuz' I'm not going to do them twice and I don't think anyone else will put as much effort in to making a GP happen so it probably won't anytime soon.

check out www.car-part.com I found 50 5.4 blocks in seconds on that site.
