Question Hardwire Ipod?

Does anyone know if theres a way to hardwire your ipod? Or if someone makes a headunit that has an Ipod adapter?

just about all of alpines new stuff is ipod ready all you need to buy extra it the adapter, it uses a digital aux ipod input on the head unit.

I was trolling through Best-Buy the other day and saw a hardwire kit for iPods that was supposed to adapt it to most Ford vehicles.

The cable is expensive... about 200 bucks but it makes your iPod look like an external CD changer to your stereo. There are a couple complications to this though... most 01+ GT's with the 460 had the in-dash 6 disc changer which obviates the need to make any aux input handling a part of the software in the stock head unit. I know it'll work on my wife's base model taurus but I'm pretty sure it won't work on a 6disc Mach460.

i have a pioneer head unit and bought an $80 fm tuner at best buy thinkin that it would work right, well, wrong, it sucked ... so i returned it and asked what else i could do and they hooked me up with an auxilary cord straight to the head unit for 70 dollars installed ... perfect cd quality
