Default Which springs to buy

Hey all,

I have a 99 mustang cobra. Its all stock and I'd like to lower it by 1/2 inch. I'm really worried that if I lower the car it will make the ride really ruff and noisey. I think the car drives really nice as is but could look even better when lower. Any advice to which springs would ride the best but also have good performance. Currently the stock springs have 85k on them.

I have the sprangz DD's, very cheap 139.99 at MT lowers 1" and 1/8" in front and 1" in back equal to ford c springs, its a decent drop, but if you want a more of a drop go with h &r or steeda sports or super sports or eibach

So did the ride get stiffer when you lowered the car with the sprangz DD's? One inch drop is as far as I want to go. I'm wondering which is the best spring for smoothness, I'm not trying to get a soft ride just a notch above what is normal for a Mustang with an IRS (if possible).

not that I have a v8 or anything, but my H&R's are damn stiff, which on the open road is great, they take serious bumps kinda hard so I gotta watch out for those, but otherwise they're damn good. I'm sure Lance and some of the oher H&R owners will agree...

I ran H&R super sports on my 01 cobra vert but they lowered the car to much for my taste and the fact it bottomed out on certain roads.

Now on my 03 cobra I have the H&R Race springs and love it. not alot of drop and a great firm ride that doesnt knock your teeth out. I am in the process of switching out to MM coilovers as well.

Yeah, Eibach Pros are ok. But you have to get shocks and struts because it rides like a dunebuggy.

I got the eibach pro-system (eibach pro-kit springs, eibach pro-dampers)

its a complete kit.... springs, shocks, n struts.

ride is similar to stock.. and lowers your car 1.5" all around....i recommend it.

DO springs ever get worn out? The right side of the car has a shorter distance from wheel to well than the left side. It is quite noticable if you look at the right wheel then the left in the rear. I don't know if my shocks/struts/springs are shot on that side or if I just need to get the car re-aligned of what. I have the Saleen Bilstein N2 racecraft struts and shocks...are those adjustable?
