v8 swap

I have a guy who owns a junkyard who has a 5.0L engine which he pulled out of a 97 mustang gt with only 30,000 miles on it. He said he would sell the tranny/engine/mounts to me for about 1300. I think it is time for me to seriously debate doing a v8 conversion. Thoughts? What else will I need?

5.0 was last in the 95's. 4.6 after that.

Yeah, the last year of the 5.0's was in 1995.. 11 years ago.

I had a green 95 Mustang GT. I loved that car. I did everything on that car myself..... cam, lifters and timing chain. I get a 4.6 and i am f**king lost in the engine department.
