shifting

i have an auto v6 and my friends all tell me differnt sutff so i figured ide ask you all. in a race would it be faster for me to go 1 2 Drive? or just keep it in drive the whole time?

leave it in drive. i only managed to get it to shift once or twice at red line with the 1-2 shift. every other time bounce the limiter or shifted way to soon.
