Question Transmission shifting

I have a new 2006 V6 (Southern California Special) with an automatic transmission. The shifts are a little mushy for my taste. I would like to modify the shifting to give the trans a sharper shift. Several years ago, I had a shift kit installed in my 1969 Torino (C6 trans). It improved the shifting greatly. Is anything out there for my 2006? Thanks.

I'm trying to learn as much as I can about my automatic trans (2006 Mustang V6). Can anyone tell me the model number?
Also, is a performance (transmission) tuner a good idea to improve the shifts (crisper shifts)?

A SCT X-Calibrator 2 will firm up those shift points. No need to go replacing hardware. It just plugs into the OBD-II port underneath the dash. You flash the ECU, and you're good to go.

You might even pick up some more ponies with it .

Question transmission shifting

Thanks for you r reply.

I haven't dome must work on my cars for about 20 years. Is the X-Calibrator 2 user friendly?
Can I change my settings with it alone or do I need a computer?

Its quite user friendly. There is a screen on there so that you can adjust paramaters, etc etc.

Can I save my factory settings on the X-Calibrator 2?
(Just in case I get "lost").
