BTW, the '06 SI's cant have any tuning done yet, Hondata hasnt done anything for them just yet. unless it's a VAFC controller and thats noting but fuel adjustment and vtec adjustment, there isnt really any "Tuning" you can do to them its too new of a car.

the fact of the matter is...

hondas are slow, ugly and made by goofy japaneese and meant to be used as family sedans...

they are not fast performance cars

and this thread is rediculously stupid... I cant believe it is 2 pages long... everyone who actually took it seriously and love honda deserve to be :ban:

Greg, do you realize how many BONE STOCK Honda's will spank your mustang? How is the S2k a Family sedan when it's a 2-seater sports car? As for the Civic Si...thats a sports coupe...not a family sedan and a sports coupe that will give you a big L when you get your stang back on road. I'm not trying to come off as bein a d*** to you but it's the truth and just face it some hondas are quicker then you may think.

bone stock honda will be faster than my car w/ a 281 DOHC 32V engine?

and I thought we were discussing the video... which A. lacks any reason or sense and B. is a civic, NOT an s2000

and BTW I have raced s2000s and won...

Any car can be beat if the driver sucks! and a S2k with a good driver can and WILL beat you even with a 4.6 DOHC motor n/a. They are 2800lbs just so you know, not 500. I'm Sorry greg, but even if you do put a cobra engine in your car, a '06 si with a good driver can probably beat you, it depends weather or not you can drive good.

Also, yea the video is a civic, but you stated Honda's in general are slow, thats why i referred to the s2k.

well heres the deal w/ the s2ks

they are light weight and make great power...

but they have no torque what so ever...

so The ones I raced I DESTROYED of the line... I cut off at 80-90mph and was still in front (but not by much)

I'm sure I could easily beat one with 300hp and 300ft.lbs... bet i could beat them lil skittles too... lol

Yea from a dig they arent all that great but go run one from a 1st gear roll and see what happens to you . Also your 300hp/300trq is Flywheel HP, your only gettin 270ish to the wheels.

well if i beat em (rather easily) with 240hp and 280ft.lbs at the flywheel... i'm sure that gain will work wonders!

For gays and ricers, but then again those 2 words coincide!

Btw blk, the 500lb thing was called an exagerration, but you didn't argue the fact that they are "4 ft long with 2 cu ft of interior space", so I'm guessing you'll admit to the fact that they are built for small little japanese people, not tall standing americans

That's true, it's sad when your TQ specs for certain parts of your motor, is motor than the TQ they produce at the wheels. I wish something would try me where i live, hell, i would race a van with a family in it, just something mess with me on the streets....

Just so you know, Honda employs 16,000 USA workers in Ohio alone, making motorcycles, Accords, Elements, and civcs.

Most of those cars have around 70% US content. So not only are the cars built here, the bulk of the parts in them are too.

So while Ford and GM are moving operations to Mexico, Honda, Toyota, BMW, Hyundai, etc are moving in to fill their spots. There is no more domestic or foreign cars.
