I had a conversation with the owner of JLT when I purchased the RAI for my son's stang. We discussed the performance difference between the RAI and the CAI on a pretty much stock GT and he said that test after test they both were pretty much the same on the dyno (10-12 HP gain, etc). He said it was personal preference as far as looks and ease of access when servicing filter and also initial installation which is a little more invasive in regards to the CAI versus the RAI.

PS- I love that damn RAI...lol.

hey thanks a lot for your input . I wasnt really even considering getting the RAI because i didnt really like/understand the setup. But if the performance is that similair, (and ur definatley not the first person i heard this from), it definitley makes sence to go with something thants more than a few bucks cheaper.

Plus this setup is still gunna be 100 times better than the POS he has on there now... and if he dont like it, he can buy himself the cai

If you have any technical questions or concerns give the guy a call. He is extremely friendly and knows his stuff. His name is Jay Tucker (Owner JLT).
