Default fuel pump problems help please!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 1988 fox body g.t the car will not crank it turns over but will not start. When i turn the key over the fuel pump will not come on. its not the fuel pump because i hook a battery up to the plug in the pump works.I traced the wires to beneath the hood to a plug in of wires pull them apart jumped the pump to the battery it runs there also. All in All it wont crank. Brent Bowers Elaba Alabama

Fuel pump relay is under the drivers seat, could have a wire grounding out and blowing the relay. Check for power to the relay, then check from the relay to the cutoff switch in the trunk, then from the trunk to the fuel pump. Just isolate the trouble spot and replace.

If you don't have power to the relay, then it's between the ignition and the relay

I merged your two threads but what has been stated above will help you isolate the issue. You also have a switch on the clutch that may be broken or not making contact. You may bypass this switch by jumpering the wires.

Check under the hood for your fuse box. Pull the cover off and there should be an illustration showing you which fuses are where.
